Originating from the state of Palmares, this Costa Rican grows at 1300meters. Many small farms are united in cooperatives with 1351 members. They enjoy many benefits including medicare. Harvest is from November to February and the annual rainfall is 1800mm. The Grade is SHB (Strictly Hard Bean)/EP (European Preparation) and appox. 3000 bags (69kg) are produced annually.
Water is being recycled and pulped cherries are used for fertilizer.
