The golden rules of creating a great tasting cup of coffee:

Use pure high-altitude Arabica coffee

Make sure it was roasted less than two weeks ago - freshness is key.

Use water that tastes good

Heat the water to 92 degrees celcius or less - never use boiling water

Use 50g to 55g of coffee per litre of water

Make sure the grind is correct and consistent - use a burr grinder (coarse for plunger, finer for filter)

Warm your equipment and cups before brewing the coffee

Drink the coffee immediately - coffee tastes wonderful because it is a reaction in a cup
